Just Stuff....

Wow, 3 posts in 2 days--I'm doin' good!!!!!!

Anyway, nothing exciting today. I'm over at my in-laws. Josh's brother Eric is home on leave for 2 weeks and then he is leaving for Germany for 2 years. He's in Army Intelligence (I know John--oxymoron). Josh's Aunt and Uncle from Mississippi are coming up tonight to see Eric and little Kollin. And I'm wasting time on the internet b/c Josh is outside "playing". He's making a treasure chest for junior church. They don't use the one they have much b/c it's made of cardboard, so it's not real durable, but Josh went to Lowe's this morning and got some supplies and is using his dad's table saw to make it.

I took Kyylyn on a nice long walk (about 45 minutes). And yes, I mean I took Kyylyn for a walk--NOT the other way around!!! I read the book "Ceaser's Way" by Ceaser Millan (I think that's spelled right), anyway he's the "dog whisperer". It was a very informative book on dog "psychology" and how we cause alot of the "issues" that dogs in America have b/c we treat them as people instead of dogs. It was very interesting. Very controversial to some people b/c he basis everything on the "pack structure", leadership (dominance) and followers (submission). People take to those words with dogs about as well as they take to them in marriage; maybe that's why marriages in America have as many "issues" as the dogs have!!! (sorry, up on a soap box there) But seeing how the man can have 30-40 dogs living in a pack at his office with no problems (and many of the dogs are rescued and were very dog and/or people aggressive before he got them) I think he just might know a little about what he's talking about. While I don't agree with everything he says, I have tried many of his suggestions and I have been taking Kyylyn for walks (and for any of you that know how Kyylyn walks) for me to walk him without a Gentle Leader or prong collar and have him walk right next to me without pulling or stopping is AMAZING!!!! Hopefully he'll totally have it down by the time I have to push a stroller and walk a dog at the same time. So that's my exciting news for the day.

I've been looking at nursery stuff online. I think we've decided on a "pond" theme. Mainly frogs but also with ducks, dragonflies, lilly pads ect. It'll work well for either a girl or a boy (you can bring out boy or girl colors form it), but I think we'll wait till we find out what it is (IF we find out--that's still up for debate!!!) before we order it. I'm also looking at gliding rockers--I want one for the nursery, and there was one on sale at Kmart this week, but it only came in pink, so that was a no. But I guess I'll keep looking :o) there's bound to be one on sale sometime in the next 7 months that I actually like!!!

Well, I think that's it for now. Guess I'll talk to you all later!!

Sarah
