Warm Weater

Well, I think the "warm" weather has officially arrived. It's like 95 out today and it is stinkin' hot!!! Great pool weather if we had a pool (no, Kyylyn's doesn't count!). But it's not humid yet, surprisingly. So while it's hot, it's bearable. Once the humidity kicks in I'll be dying--especially when I have to drive Josh's car that doesn't have air conditioning!!! It's a convertible, but it's a toss up whether it's hotter to have the top up and the windows down but be shaded from the sun or to have the top down and have the sun beating down on you--that sun is intense!! Wow! I can start getting a tan with the top down just driving home from work! The heat's taking it's toll on poor Kyylyn. He just pants all the time. I don't want to shave him because he's got a double coat so the bottom should actually insulate him a little bit from the heat, but if it's shaved off the poor guys totally exposed! A lot of the time when we're at Josh's parents house we leave Kyylyn in the car--he settles down nicely and we leave the window open so he can hang out if he wants, but I've been telling Josh he's got to watch it, cuz even with the window down all the way he could overheat really easily. This morning he went over to his parent's house for "a few minutes" and an hour later went back out and poor Kyylyn had his head out the window panting up a storm. He brought him in to the AC and got him cooled off, but the poor guy didn't have a good morning--or afternoon either. We went shopping and he had to stay at home in his kennel, b/c it's too hot to even leave him outside in the fenced in back yard (that and he would dig a hole in the grass to get down to cool dirt--not a trait the Josh's dad appreciates very much!!)

But anyway, we went shopping for bikes. We've been to Wal-mart looking at some bikes and finally went and got them today. I'm not allowed to run/jog for exercise and even walking a lot aggravates my back so I'm suppose to be swimming, but I'm having issues finding a pool to use. But Josh's uncle said that I can bike to exercise. It won't help strengthen my back, but at least I can get some cadio in (hopefully) without hurting my back. To ride on post you have to wear protective gear (a helmet and gloves) and also a reflective belt or vest. It is a pain to find those!!! Where's Cabela's when you need it!!! That, or even Fleet Farm (I really miss that store--and Kwik Trips too!! Ready made, fresh GOOD coffee for 63 cents--you can't FIND even decent coffee at gas stations here!!! Steve, if you even need to find a gift for either of us, or when you come down to visit--bring some Kwik Trip Coffee beans!! I'll pay you back!!!) But anyway, back to the bikes ( I know I get sidetracked easily!!) Josh got a road bike, but I wasn't quite confident enough on those little tiny wheels, so I got a "hybrid", it's not really a mtn bike but it's not a road bike either--you can ride it on either but it probably won't excel at either of them. Which is fine, cuz I'll be jumping back and forth and I don't plan on riding down a mtn or biking 50 miles on the road so it ought to be perfect!!

Oh and Josh found a second job--he'll be working with a security company that wanted an EMT also. he;ll work 4 PM-midnight Monday thru Friday. And with that schedule he can keep working with Tim doing the used car thing. So poor Kyylyn is suddenly going to be spending a lot more time in his kennel.

We're also getting new cell phones. We should be getting them next week and I'll send you all our new phone numbers. I just hope it works in the house--that's my main concern. We got a good deal through AT&T and they gave us 2 phones for $1 a piece. And they sound like they should be decent phones. I'm psyched--I can download songs and put them on the phone to listen to them!! So now I don't need to keep "ipod" on my wish list--cuz that's the only reason I wanted one, so I could listen to music while I worked out.

Well, Josh is telling me that it's time to go, so I'll talk to you all later!!

Sarah
