I'm sorry....

Hi everybody.

Ok, yes, my poor blog has been extremely neglected lately. And no, I don't have a good excuse--just haven't done it. Sorry! Not that much exciting is happening here anyway. It's finally cooled off. We've gotten rain for the first time in a month and half and of course it would come over Labor Day when every one is trying to be outside! Oh well. We really REALLY neeed the rain!!! Josh and I were gonna go camping this weekend but Josh ended up taking a shift for someone on Saturday night and I have to go in on Monday morning to take care of the kennels at work. So no real vacation for us. We'll probably spend a good portion of the weekend at my in-laws b/c Josh's brother Eric is home from Arizona. He's in the Army training for intellegence (yes, I realize the oxymoron, "Army Intellegence", but I won't go there!!) He's in the middle of the desert--this is the first time he's been home since he left for boot camp several months ago. Speaking of being at the in-laws, someone at work asked me what I had done the night before and I answered that I had dinner at my in-laws and then hung out there for a while. Darrel asked if Josh was working and I told him yes, he was. He gave me the weirdest look and asked "you go over to your in-laws by YOURSELF??!!!" I had to laugh, apperently that's an odd thing to like your in-laws??? Oh well, guess I'm weird (but we all knew that already :o)

I live trapped a stray cat in my backyard, spayed her and let her go again but an 8 or 10 week old kitten came along with her too. So I'm keeping the kitten (a really pretty little calico) and trying to tame her and find a home for her. No I'm not "keeping her" keeping her--she's at the clinic. I have my limit of cats!! I named her "Riah"-short for Mariah. She is taming down nicely but she's still a scaredy cat. Her mom is black and white and I was trying to name her. we have a little black and white kitten that comes to our clinic named Moo Moo. I couldn't quite name an adult cat "MooMoo" but it got me thinking, so I named "my" new outdoor wildcat "Moolatte" (you know the drinks from Dairy Queen? Yes Dr. Candace, I think of you when I call "my" cat now.)

I think that's about the news for now. I survived the "worst heat in AL" that anyone can remember in recent history!! We had like 12 days of over 100. That's just stinkin' hot!!!!

Well, Im gonna go now. Sorry I havn't written for a while. Talk to you all later

Sarah
