And we're off... our new house is coming along swimmingly and my dog keeps barking his "fool" head off right outside the door! Now Sarah wants to write and tell you all about the house, but me first..! (evil cynical laugh) The house is great, we ony get the bottom half, but all is well. There is a lot of work yet to be done, but with help from Sarah, my Dad and Mom, Eric and a few others that are not mentionable here, we'll get the jobs all done in no time. Thanks for checking in and have a good evening!
Hi everybody, ok, technically it's not "our" house--my in-laws are trying to buy it right now--I say "trying" b/c the closing hasn't gone through yet, but the soon-to-be former owners have been gracious enough to let us do work on it and move our stuff in but we aren't allow to live there until the closing goes through--legal liability stuff. But, with that said--I'm going to tell you about my house :o) From the front it looks like a single story house, so to get to our lower half of the duplex you have to go around back. Once you get in the kitchen is huge!!!! I don't know what to do with all the cabinet space! It's two bedroom, 2 1/2 bath in our lower section (upstairs is 4 bedroom, 2 bathrooms). The bedrooms aren't that big, however, the bathroom and walk-in closets double the room size, and I'm going to have a room (not the second bedroom) just for my scrapebooking stuff (my mom-in-law says it would make a better nursery...NOT yet!!) We also have a large, totally screened-in porch that Duncan already loves to be out in! We have a huge yard (a full acre and a third), however it is a forest (literally) and a snake haven (sorry Dr. Katie). I havn't seen any yet, but I learned once I got here that there are 5 (count them 5) different types of poisonous snakes. Copperheads, cottonmouths, coral, rattlesnakes and water moccasin's. So with that said, Kyylyn is not allowed to run in our yard until after it is burned out (literally). There is a small part of the backyard that is not forest so for now he can be tied there but he barks constantly. There is also a shed out back that Josh hopes to make into a boat building shop (and no matter what he says he is not building a boat on my porch!) So that's all about our new house. As soon as we get moved in I'll write again and let you know how it is! Hope that explains all the pictures!

Wow! What a week it has been for you Sarah! I thought about you all day during the ice storms wondering if you were making a go of it. We miss you terribly. Your house looks wonderful--you sooo deserve that kitchen! Keep us posted of your adventures!
